Java Arjuno Single Origin Arabica Coffee Bean
Arjuno is one of the twin volcanic mountains in the east of Java, centered on the Ijen plateau. The other mountain standing next to Arjuno is Mount Welirang. 2,700 meters of land connect the two mountains. While climbing Arjuno through Tretes and descending via Lalijiwo, lush green trees of Arabica coffee fully cover Wonosari.
Arabica coffee originated in the lands of Ethiopia, once known as the Kingdom of Kefa. About 75% of the world’s coffee comes from Arabica species plants.
These coffee Arabica plants grow at 750-1500m above the sea level in lower temperature. The Java is geographically ideal for coffee plantations as the region has numerous mountains located near the equator. This friendly-environment creates microclimates for growth and production of coffee in Java Arjuno.
Farmers handpick the fully ripe coffee fruit at Arujno farms from the decades-old trees. We source these high-quality green coffee beans. Arjuno coffee beans are heavy-bodied. However, they are lighter in taste than robusta and some other coffees.
These beans have a soft aroma, fruity hints and herbal notes in the aftertaste. The flavor of Java Arjuno coffee beans is sweet, sour and earthy. The enriched sweetness is the reason that people prefer Arabica most. Arjuno coffee beans smell a bit like a blueberry when roasted. Arabica Arjuno contains lesser caffeine, low calories and is rich in antioxidants. Therefore, it has multiple benefits to health.
